Mission

Arts West, is a part of the City of Athens' Arts, Parks and Recreation Dept. Our mission is to make facilities, resources, and opportunities available to art organizations, individual artists, and community residents. We harness community focus for all individuals engaged in the creation, performance and exhibition of the arts, while promoting activities preserving the beauty, heritage, and culture of our town.

The Ohio Arts Council helps fund this organization with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.

Special thanks to the Athens Community Music Festival, the Athens County Foundation, the Athens County Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Kleinpenny Education Foundation for their support.
