Art Opening: Federal Hocking Secondary's 8x10 Photography Exhibit

Celebrate Youth Art Month at ARTS/West with Federal Hocking Secondary’s student chapter of the National Art Honors Society, as they proudly present their fifth annual 8×10 Photography Exhibit. 

The Opening Reception will be on Thursday, March 2nd from 6:30-8:30pm, and the exhibit will be on display in the ARTS/West Performance Space until March 25th. 

As always, the reception and gallery exhibit are free and open to the public.

Front and Center featuring Zhou Chau on Traditional Chinese Instruments

Front and Center returns to ARTS/West on Saturday, February 18th from 12-1pm. As always, Front and Center provides a free musical performance and an open stage for children's solo and ensemble acts! This month, Zhou Chau will be the featured guest playing traditional chinese instruments. Front and Center always occurs on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 12-1pm, and is absolutely FREE.

SEOTDS Waltz Lesson, Potluck Dinner, and Contra Dance

Waltz Lesson & Contra Dance on Saturday, February 11th at ARTS/West. Everyone is welcome - no partner needed, no experience needed. Please join us for any or all events!

5:00-6:30pm Waltz Lesson with Barbara Ramlow
6:30-7:30pm Potluck Dinner
7:30-8:00pm Beginners Contra Lesson
8:00-11:00pm Contra Dance!

The waltz lesson is FREE! The lesson will be an introductory lesson that is appropriate for people who have never waltzed before, as well as beginning & intermediate waltzers. Experienced waltzers are encouraged to come as practice partners.

Barbara Ramlow will be calling the contra dance with tunes by the Hotpoint Stringband. A beginner's lesson starts at 7:30, with the dance running 8-11pm. $7/adults, $3/students, $15/family, kids 10 and under are free. More information at www.athenscontradance.org or 740-590-4102.
