Mama And Baby Yoga!
Ages 4 weeks to crawling
You have already bonded with your child as he or she grew inside you for nine months. Now that you can hold your baby, you can share the beauty and health benefits of yoga with him or her. In class we stretch with the babies, smile, laugh and even sing with them. This unique yoga class will leave both mama and baby peaceful and happy. Contact Laura Post for dates, times and registration: lp342300@ohio.edu.
Prenatal Yoga -
Prenatal yoga helps mothers gain a deeper awareness of their bodies while helping to alleviate some discomforts pregnancy can bring. In class we will strengthen the lower back, pelvic floor and many other key muscles important for the journey into Motherhood. Yoga promotes circulation, better night's sleep and overall better health. This class offers a safe environment for you to share and hear about mama's journey while tapping into your innate wisdom about birth and life. Contact Laura Post for dates, times and registration: lp342300@ohio.edu.
World Citizen Culture Drumming class is an exploration into the rhythms and cultures of West African. We study traditional Mande djembe(hand drum) and djun djun(bass drums) arrangements. Students in the class will learn hand techniques, poly-rhythmic percussion harmony, solo techniques for djembe, drum tuning and arrangements for traditional rhythms from Ivory coast, Congo and the African Diaspora. Cost is $5 a class and the classes are from 5-6 Sundays. From 6-7 there will be a free open jam. Contact Instructor Lawrence Greene: greenesone@aol.com.

Awesomeness All Around
Speaking of fantastic....we have gotten some truly amazing donations this summer. Room 8, our resident craft room, is going to be stocked to the gills by the time we get everything organized in it. We've received construction paper, a ton of fabric, cardboard tubes, recycled plastic containers and so much more! Room 8 isn't the only room that's getting an upgrade. We received a dresser with a mirror for the Green Room as well as some metal shelving units! In addition, a collapsible round table was donated for general use throughout the facility! The generosity of the individuals who donated these items, and those who have donated other items in the past, is truly incredibly. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
If you want to see some pictures of the donated craft supplies in action, if you will, check out our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/
Please don't forget, we always want to hear from you! So stop by, shoot us an email (artswestathens@gmail.com), Facebook stalk us (http://www.facebook.com/
