Musical Lending Library
Kids' Jam Sessions!

Admission is Free

Bring your kids to the Musical Lending Library and events coordinator Tessa Evanosky will get them playing simple songs and beats on selected instruments for ages 3 & up! Adult supervision is required for children to participate and we'll be sure to have something for the parents to play also!

Athens Municipal Arts Commission 
Seeks Submissions for 
Waste Water Treatment Plant Mural

The Athens Municipal Arts Commission (A.M.A.C.) is seeking submissions for a mural to be installed at the Waste Water Treatment Plant (W.W.T.P.).

The City of Athens has allocated approximately $3000 ($2250 stipend and $750 materials cost) for a permanent work of public art to be installed on the sides of two clarifiers at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.

It is expected that work on the site can begin on or around April 15, 2019 with anticipated completion prior to July 1, 2019. Please note that weather may delay the start date and the exact date will be determined by the City Safety and Service Director.

A Benefit for Arts West! 

For the past decade the Cat's Pajamas Clothing Exchange has brought countless Athenians the joy of "new" clothes in a fun and community minded way. This Fall we hope that we can break the record for the most clothes ever offered! The mountains of clothes available all are to benefit a good cause: Arts West! Throughout the year Arts West provides space for the PRISM Youth Art Program, monthly art openings, square dances and contra dances, concerts, plays, workshops and more. If you are on the prowl for a new wardrobe, there is simply no better avenue than the Cat’s Pajamas Clothing Exchange!

Members Night - Thursday, Nov. 1st 5:30-8:30pm
Exchange Days - Friday, Nov. 2nd 5:30-8:30pm & Saturday, Nov. 3rd 10am-6pm

How it Works:
To Get a Golden Ticket (take unlimited items)
1. Now through Thurs., Nov. 1st, bring unwanted clothes to Arts West
2. Pay Entry only once either $15 Fri, Nov. 2nd, or $10 Nov. 3rd
3. Return to exchange unlimited times with no additional fee

To Get a Regular Ticket (take as many items as you brought, additional items $1 each)
1. Bring clothes on exchange days, (Nov. 2nd & 3rd)
