Well Beings traces the journey of three heroin addicts at various stages of recovery. Looming over all these characters is the Gravedigger who buries the dead. This sometimes absurd, sometimes all-too-real drama examines one of the biggest crises facing our society today.

After the reading, audience members will have a chance to speak with playwright Greg Vovos about his process writing the play

A quote from the playwright:
“Theater allows us to tell the stories of our communities in a way like nothing else can. And in this case specifically, it gives our communities the opportunity to come together and witness the struggles that people face when they are caught in the grip of heroin and opiate abuse. When a group of strangers are assembled in a room, playing witness to the events unfolding in front of them, they gain not only a better understanding of the truth of the character’s struggles, but also a greater sense of empathy. From there, conversations naturally begin and our community can come together to support each other. As one recovered addict once said to me, it is only through sharing our stories that true healing can occur. What better place to do so than in the theater?”
