We're really Stepping it up!

Come in throughout the rest of the month to view the art of Edward P. "Ted" Steiner on display M-F, 10am-4pm or by appointment.

"As a child of two Ohio University professors specializing and focusing on history, art history, cartography, and interior design, I was exposed to many forms of artistic expression (literature, music, theater, visual arts). In addition, my mother (Catherine Mcquaid-Steiner) was an accomplished working artist who taught and revealed styles and techniques, which over my lifetime, has been absorbed and consequently impacted my stylistic preferences. All of this created an encouraging atmosphere for my personal interests and expanded artistic growth. My background is quite varied, with degrees that are focused on: archeology, anthropology, art history, and the biological and physical sciences. My formal art training includes: painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography. These combined areas of study have influenced my present work in many aspects of interpretation and representation."

"I work with ink and watercolor as primary mediums in an abstract manner. This Kaleidoscope series is an interpretive study of varied cellular structures. I have used line and color to portray motion in a static form."
