Summer isn't winding down here! Saturday, July 26 at 12:00 pm we will be treated to workshops presentations from the students participation in the Ohio Valley Summer Theater Youth Theater Workshops. Here are the details:
OVST’s- Summer Youth Theater Program
Ohio Valley Summer Theater presents a new program to nurture students in the development of age appropriate theatrical knowledge and skills. Participants will have an opportunity to explore performance and/or technical production and artistry. Individual growth and development is the goal. Open to primary grade through early high school students, the program will take place July 7-25.
The program will culminate on Saturday, July 26 at 12:00 in a free demonstration performance to share with family and friends the knowledge and skills that were learned in the workshops.

Monday kicks of the
APE Center Summer Theater Program 2008
The APE Center, with the support from ARTS/West and The Dairy Barn, offers a creative week of self-esteem, cooperation and team-building skills enhancing theater program for children in grades 1-6, and youth in grades 7-10. Participants will learn how a theater show comes into being – not only actors/actresses are creating it but a good team of people of different skills.
Come and join us to build a theater ensemble for a week.
You can be:
- a costume designer and maker,
- set and prop designer and a stage hand,
- light and sound technician,
- ticket, program and poster designer,
Choose which theater production job you would like to try and help us to create a show!
- explore creative skills you already have, or develop new ones
- learn how to successfully cooperate and communicate with your peers
- make new friends
The session will take place at ARTS/West:
Monday, July 28th – Friday, August 1st from 9am – 4pm with a presentation of the shows on Saturday afternoon, August 2nd in ARTS/West.
Instructors: Domi Adamova, MA, ME, LSC; Kate Scholl, MA, and many others
Theater Camp fees are $ 160/week (incl. Saturday).
For an extra fee childcare is provided during the work days
(8-9am = $30/week, and 4-5pm = $30/week).
