FILM SCHOOL for AGES 10 – 15 March-May 2007
A collaboration between the Dairy Barn Arts Center and ARTS/West
Want to learn all the elements that go toward making a movie by actually doing it? You will get the chance to write, act, direct and edit your movies. You will have the opportunity to find out which side of the camera you want to be on.
This course is designed so that students can achieve the most creative success in what they want to do as filmmakers. The course will be as interesting for new students as it is for our veteran movie buffs.
The course is designed to take place over a period of 5 weeks (students will not meet during week 1 and 2 and between week 2 and 4) meeting for two hours a night at the Dairy Barn, and occasionally at ARTS/West.
The instructor for this course is Carolina Conte. Carolina was awarded her PhD in Interdisciplinary Arts, Film and Theater in 2005 from Ohio University. Originally from Brazil, Carolina is currently working in New York City as an editor and keeping current in film and theater. Carolina has worked in all aspects of the film and theater industry and has extensive experience in various processes and mediums.
