Athens Holiday Arts Showcase

The Uptown Arts Market
Scheduled for Thursday, November 30th

A special Athens Holiday Arts Showcase will take the place of a December Market Sundays this week.
The Athens Holiday Showcase hosted by the Hidden Treasures Neighborhood and the Athens Municipal Arts Commission is scheduled for Thursday, November 30th, running from 4:30 to 8:30 pm.
The Holiday Showcase market will be held in conjunction with the opening of the Athens Uptown Business Holiday events. Local art and food vendors will be under a heated tent at the corner of East State and Court Streets.

This month’s event includes a cider press for apple cider making, local musicians and holiday carolers. Holiday kid’s activities include gift wrapping and ornament making with guest artists. Athens Uptown merchants holiday raffle with up to a $1,000 in local prizes and gift certificates will begin Thursday afternoon and run through December 15th. Free parking is available in the City Parking Garage.

The Athens Holiday Arts Showcase celebrates the best of Athens handmade and homegrown. Customers will find a wide array of jewelry, bags and apparel, health and beauty products, woodcrafts, quilts, photography, paintings, house-wares and specialty foods. The market is held the first Sunday of every month, sponsored by the Athens Municipal Arts Commission and the Hidden Treasures Neighborhood of retailers.

Vending fees are very affordable and all interested artists and food vendors are encouraged to participate. All vendors must have a current vendor’s license to participate and only sell home-grown or hand made items. Vendors must bring their own tables, chairs and displays.
